Temps have been over 100F this week. It's way too hot to do anything. I just thought I should share.

It has little to do with why there is no Yang Child update. That is due to squffies work. I have a lot to do and I'm going out of town for a few days next week, so I have a lot to get done this weekend. Yang Child wont update today or next week, though I'll try to get a new vote incentive up for you next week.

See you in two weeks all.

Yang Child will update on Thursday only this week. I had some things to take care of and they took longer then expected. It may only update once next week too. It depends on how much squffies stuff I can get done. I have more to do than I thought.

Tainted updated. If you like today's page, you can get a desktop background of it under the fun stuff area.

Now Tainted goes on hiatus until late July, after I get a bunch of Squffies stuff done. I still need to finish the new help section and making the web site for it. I have about half of it written now but none of the page coded. They're also all the items I need to touch up/fix/add to the new breeds. I'm also redoing the lines and shadows on most of the squffies and cleaning up some of the traits. It's a lot of work left and I'm trying to get it all done before July. I'll be busy between now and then.

Tainted has finally shown up. I'm sorry it took so long to show up. I'm not sure what was up Comic Genesis these last two weekends, but I'm hoping it doesn't repeat a third time. I'm glad this chapter is winding down. Then it will be on hiatus until I finish all the stuff for the squffies stuff for the new site. That will be sometime in July, most likely.

Yang Child will be delayed until Thursday. I was busy all weekend, and I have some real life stuff to deal with today. Check back Thursday. I will also get some new vote incentives done. I keep meaning to do that and then forget to scan and upload it.

Oh, and also remember that garden time is upon us. With money tight, putting in a vegetable garden is a good way to cut down some of your food bill, get fresh produce, and lessen your carbon footprint. Homegrown food is both good for you and for the environment. Every vegetable that comes from your garden is one less vegetable that had to be shipped around the country for you to buy at a supermarket. If you have never planted one before, this is a great year to start.

Have a good Monday all.

Yang Child will update on Thursday this week. I spent most of Monday finishing the squffies stuff, so I didn't have time to get the comic done. Check back on Thursday.

Tainted will not update on Saturday and Yang Child will not up date next week while I take a sort of spring break from them and work on Squffies. So many squffies things to get done.

Have a good week all.

Yang Child updated today.

So, over the weekend, the woman across the street had a sort of yard sale with some of her flowering plants. She borrowed one of our old child art easels to put big sale signs on. She also tied some balloons to it. Well, after the sale, we bring the thing home with the balloons still on it.

A little later, Miles, one of my cats, comes in, like normal, eats a few crunchies (dry cat food), and then starts to walk up the hall. Just as he is walking past the easel, the balloons move a little in the breeze. Miles completely freaks out. He goes racing back down the hall, skids across the kitchen floor, and bolts out the back door. He comes back a little later, and the whole thing repeats. Now, Miles wont walk down the hall without checking it out to see if the evil balloons are there. When he spots them, he either runs outside (if the door is open) or he goes to hide in my room.

I don't know what it is about the balloons, but apparently they are the most terrifying thing Miles has ever seen. The other two cats are not phased by them. Koko ignores them, but that's no surprise. At her age, not much gets to her anymore. Hershey, who is afraid of just about everything, is not bothered by them either. He just sniffed them when I showed him and then went back to eating and begging for attention. Miles is absolutely paranoid, though. He looks over his shoulder when he eats. He slowly skulks down the hall. If they move, he takes off, looking for the nearest hiding place. It's funny and sad at the same time.

No Yang Child update today. Why, you ask? Well, I spent most of Saturday working on Squffies stuff and then I got distracted by fan subs of Slayers Revolution on YouTube. For the longest time, all the video of Slayers R I could find was Japanese with no subtitles. On a whim, I checked to see if anyone had gotten around to fan subbing it and was pleased to find someone did. As a huge Slayers fan, I just couldn't stop watching at only two or three episodes. I had to watch all of it. Because I'm reading subtitles, I can't draw while watching it so I didn't get the page done.

I know. I know. Bad Tealya. Don't do it again. It's just it's been about a decade since there was any new Slayers and I've been so excited to see it. I hope they can get the original English voice actors to do the dub. I like it in both English and Japanese. Slayers is one of the very good dubs out there. I'm looking forward to getting it on DVD in 2010.

So, YC will update per usual on Thursday. I'll be sure not to become distracted by the Slayers Evolution (the second half of the new season) too much to get that done. I hope they decide to continue with another season after this one. ^_^

Yang Child will be delayed until Thursday again. My teeth are evil and refuse to stop getting cavities no matter what I do. As such, I spent my morning getting one filled and then the afternoon feeling lousy and numb on one side of my face. I rally hate all of this and wish my teeth were not so prone to problems. It's so frustrating to have nothing work at preventing cavities.

Anyway, see you Thursday.

Tainted has updated, per usual. I also updated the voting incentives for both Tainted and Yang Child. Tainted's is a better look at the creature on Gen's bed, if you're curious.

Yang Child will have one big update on Thursday again. I need to get some valentine's day stuff done for squffies and need to spend the weekend on it instead of Yang Child. I was curious, do people like the once a week Yang Child updates with the bigger pages or the twice a week with smaller pages? I prefer the once a week bigger ones myself, but what do you people think?

Anyway, have a good weekend all.

So, you may notice there is no update on Yang Child today. It's all my teeth's fault! I was going to set up an appointment with the dentist to get my teeth cleaned and found out someone canceled and they could see me today. Needless to say, I went. I had some pretty bad tea stains on the backs of my teeth and it took a long time to get them off. It's great not to have them there anymore, but it cut into my day. Since it was unexpected, I didn't get the chance to get Yang Child finished.

Long story short, no update Tuesday, but I'll make it up to you guys and girls by having an extra big update to Thursday. Sorry. See you Thursday.

Gah!
Tainted has updated. I call this page "Keep digging Gen! The hole you've dug yourself into isn't deep enough yet!" Gen is really not a people person. I would also never mess with Allura. Standing close to 6 feet tall, she is very intimidating.

Wow, I haven't updated this in a long time. I kept meaning to update it for new years and then put it off again and again. Well, it's ten days late, but happy new year anyway. 2009 could not have come fast enough. '08 ended terribly and I'm still holding out hope that '09 will be better... or at lest get better than it's been for the world so far.

So, since my last update, life has been relatively good. I'm working on comics and such at about the same pace as usual (which is far too slow for my tastes but I can't seem to get faster at it). My little kitty Miles has been sick for the past week, though. He has a feline cold of sorts. The vet said it's actually related to the herpes virus, though only affects cats and causes a stuffed up nose. Miles already has some respiratory issues, so we were worried when he started sneezing a lot and had a runny nose. Thankfully, it's all relatively harmless and he's quickly going back to his old, hyper self.

I still love my computer. It's still perfect. *pets computer* As of today, it still needs a name. It's definitely not a Fred. Not only does it behave much better than Fred did, it has some new software that Fred could never have run. I got Manga Studio Debut for the holidays, though I haven't really figured out how to use it yet so Tainted is still being done in photoshop elements. If anyone knows some good tutorials on manga studio, please let me know. I'd love to find some and learn how to use the program to it's fullest. My plan is to start using it for the next Tainted chapter. This one is about halfway through, so I'm just going to finish it with photoshop.

I'd put up resolutions except that I haven't really made any this year... or at least any that apply to my comics/art. So, on that note, I'll sign off and get back to work on Yang Child. I'll be sure to update more often than I have been, and I'll get back to those commentaries soon. I know some people read them, even if no one ever comments.

Have a good weekend all.

The time has come for poor old Fred to be replaced. For those who don't know, Fred is my computer. At 10 years of age, he is a grandpa in the computer world. He's been through it all: traveling across the state several times, receiving more memory, and having part of his brain replaced. Surprisingly, he still works well considering. His major problem is the hardware that can not be replaced without destroying the computer.

So, after saving, planning, plotting, and fearing a large raise in the sales tax next year, I have finally bought his replacement and it is beautiful. I adore its sleek look and the fact that it does not take up a lot of space. Fred is a mac, you see, and after 10 long years of serving me faithfully, it only seemed right to replace him with a new mac that will, hopefully, also last a decade.

Fred's days are not completely over, though. It looks like he will still have a purpose as a typewriter and for storing extra info.

In short, what all this means is that I am currently in the process of transferring everything over and getting it all updated. This is taking a while, so Tainted was not able to be screen toned. Yang Child will likely not update on Tuesday either. Sorry about the missed updates. This was just the absolute best time for me to get the new computer. Enjoy the little picture on Tainted. I'll try and get something small done for Yang Child as well. Have a good weekend, everyone.

I'm taking the Thanksgiving week off from comics so I can get some other things done, especially the prizes I owe to the winged kitty contest winners. Contest winners are first on the list, so you three should be getting your pictures some time this week. I will post the finished pictures up as vote incentives after I get them done so everyone can see.

If I have time after I finish the other stuff, I will get a new Tainted desktop wallpaper made. I have a nice sketch of Catarina in fox form done and I think it would make a good wallpaper. People seem to like Gen in fox form, but she has such a ridged personality that she really didn't make a good pretty fox girl image. Cat, on the other hand, has no problems posing.

Anyway, no comics this week. Have a happy Thanksgiving all. See you next week.

Tainted updated on Saturday. If you didn't know, well, now you do. I have also updated both my Tainted commentary and my Yang Child commentary.

I'm sorry for the delay in getting those done. This election has really had me (as well as many of those around me) a bit high strung. Every night, they were talking about how McCain could win and it was really nerve rattling. The last thing this country needed was someone that was going to do the exact same thing for another 4 years. I am so happy that Obama won, even amiss all of the false voter fraud claims and voter purging.

That said, I am really angry about prop 8 passing. Prop 8 was the California proposition to amend the state constitution to ban same sex marriage. For a few brief months, the law was treating everyone in California the same. Then the mean religious people came in and took away their civil rights. Now, as I was taught, you are not allowed to vote away someone's civil rights in this country. Clearly I was taught wrong. If enough religious people get together and are ordered by their churches to donate money to rob someone of their rights, apparently they can. I was raised to believe that we had a separation of church and state. None of our laws could be based on religion. Now we have one that is ONLY based on religion in place. Why? Because they want someone to hate and bully and this is one of the last groups they can legally do it to. How dare they go on the news and say "we are not trying to take away gay rights" and then go out and take away rights. They claim it is not hatred, but I can see nothing loving or kind in any of this. Saying it is not hateful to vote against someone's rights is the same as saying it is not hateful to beat someone up for their skin color. There is no difference. Both acts are ways of attacking someone and promoting violence based solely on the way they were born. My only consolation in all of this is that though some of my friends may be hurt by this now, this is going to really blow up for the religious right, particularly the mormons. The writing is on the walls. They will loose this fight in the end, and they are starting to see it.

Yang Child has updated on time for the past few weeks. I've been missing updating my commentary, however. Sorry about that. If you do read them, I'm all caught up today.

Tainted will update on Saturday! Yes, Tainted will finally return. The website will not update as promised, though. I'm still finishing Squffies Halloween stuff. I will redo the Tainted website in November when I have some more time. I have images for the new site to finish before I put it up. It will include a lot of info on the Tainted world when it does update, though.

So, I will see you Saturday for the Tainted update.

And chapter 7 begins! I have also updated my weekly commentary. Not much is written since there really isn't much to say about the cover pages, but I did post something.

Sorry for the really long break. I need the time to get lots done. I actually did get quite a bit done. I hope you guys are all still coming back to site now that it's started up again. The Tainted Layout is next on the list, after I get the archives for Yang Child done. I'm not sure when I'll get the store done. I'm not sure anyone goes to the store anyway, so it's not a high priority.
